Course Overview
This course provides a clear, practical introduction to AI assurance for professional services. It explains how AI is changing professional work, what responsible and defensible AI use looks like in practice, and how firms can evidence control, transparency, and accountability when deploying AI tools.
The programme focuses on helping firms and individuals understand their responsibilities when using AI, how client expectations are evolving, and how to demonstrate assurance in a proportionate, credible way.
In attending this course, you will be equipped to:
- Apply AI assurance principles in daily professional practice
- Identify and manage AI-related risks across your firm
- Use AI tools responsibly, transparently, and with appropriate oversight
- Strengthen professional credibility while future-proofing your role and organisation
The focus is on practical decision-making and real-world application, not theory.
FAQ:
- If you require support after the course to implement what you have learned, our team is available to help. The course is designed to enable firms to lead their AI assurance approach internally. However, for organisations that require additional, dedicated support, we offer post-course AI Assurance Accelerator packages. These may include private policy co-creation workshops, tailored governance frameworks, and expert reviews of completed assurance documentation. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about these options during the session.
This course is designed for professionals across professional services and advisory sectors who need a practical understanding of how to use AI responsibly, transparently, and with confidence in client-facing work.
Ideal for:
- Anyone looking to improve their service and productivity through AI
- Professionals adopting AI tools in advisory, analytical, or decision-support roles
- Teams responsible for client trust, quality control, and professional standards
- Partners, directors, and senior leaders in professional service firms
- Compliance, risk, governance, and assurance leads
No prior technical or coding knowledge is required.
FAQs:
- While particularly valuable for partners, directors, and senior leaders, this course is relevant to anyone involved in professional work where AI is used to support analysis, judgement, or client advice. As AI becomes embedded in everyday workflows, understanding organisational responsibilities and individual accountability is increasingly important at all levels.
- No prior technical or coding knowledge is required. This course is designed for professionals, not data scientists. The opening module covers all the AI fundamentals needed to understand how modern AI systems work, where risks arise, and how assurance can be applied in practice—without assuming any technical expertise.
Meet Your Professional Responsibility
AI is now embedded in professional work, whether formally adopted or informally used by teams. This course provides a clear framework for understanding your responsibilities when using AI and for ensuring its use is controlled, transparent, and defensible.
Turn Risk into Advantage
Firms that can demonstrate strong AI assurance stand out. This course shows how clear governance, data protection, and human oversight can strengthen client trust, reduce risk, and become a visible differentiator rather than a compliance burden.
Learn With Your Peers
The course creates space to discuss shared challenges, compare approaches, and build confidence in responsible AI adoption alongside peers facing similar decisions and pressures.

FAQs:
- This course is structured to meet formal CPD requirements commonly applied across professional service firms. Attendees may request a certificate of completion for their records.
- This course is not about experimentation. It focuses on assurance, governance, and professional responsibility, ensuring AI is used in a controlled, transparent, and defensible way that protects both clients and professionals.
Course access includes optional use of the AI Assurance Toolkit, a practical set of templates and digital tools designed to help firms implement AI assurance in a clear, proportionate, and defensible way.
The toolkit supports firms in documenting AI use, assessing risk, and maintaining clear records of governance and oversight, without unnecessary complexity. It can be used immediately after the course or integrated gradually into existing processes.
What the toolkit includes:
- AI Risk Register to document and assess AI applications across your firm
- Third-party AI due-diligence checklists for evaluating external tools and vendors
- Client communication templates to support transparency around AI use
- AI governance policy templates aligned with assurance best practice
Digital platform features:
- Dynamic Policy Generator to help create and maintain a firm-wide AI governance policy
- Intelligent Risk Register that supports consistent risk assessment across use cases
- Audit Pack that generates a structured record of policies, logs, and due-diligence checks
- Secure web-based access to centralise documentation in one place
Access to the toolkit includes:
- A free account with any course booking
- A trial period to explore the tools and workflows
- Secure user login for controlled access
Use of the toolkit is supportive, not mandatory. Firms may choose to adopt the tools fully, partially, or simply use them as reference examples to build their own internal processes.
The course is delivered in four structured sessions designed to balance explanation, discussion, and applied examples. All delivery modes include the same core content, learning outcomes, and materials.
